Luxury spa hotel Blythswood Square in Glasgow has introduced a Watsu Water Massage treatment.

One of Scotland’s most environmentally friendly hotels, the city centre hotel offers the new treatments at The Spa at Blythswood Square.

The Spa features nine treatment rooms; face, body and holistic treatments; a Dark Pool; a Rhassoul; wet and dry relaxation rooms and a spa lounge serving tapas dishes.

This new treatment Watsu means “water-shiatsu” and combines Shiatsu pressure points with gentle stretches and the absence of gravity.

“Water relaxes, supports and nurtures body and mind,”says The Spa.

“The mobility and freedom of movement in a Watsu Water Massage treatment can create a trance like state of deep state relaxation which can help unlock stored stress and tension.”
