German perfume capsule maker Duftwasser is bringing its fragrance concept to the hotel and restaurant industry.

Called Scented Water, this perfume capsule system is designed to offer a refreshing scent to guests dispensed in high quality, aluminum Duftdispensers. At the dispensers mounted in men’s and women’s restrooms, hotel guests can refresh themselves individually with seasonal scents.

Among the German hotels and restaurants using the Scented Water in their restrooms include Felix Clubrestaurant/ Hotel Adlon (Berlin); Newton Bar (Berlin); Park Hotel (Bremen); Pier 51 (Hanover) and Hotel Süllberg (Hamburg).

Each of the four seasonal Scented Water fragrances are based on popular seasonal fragrances in the beauty market. For each hotel, the aluminum Duftdispensers are custom designed with their individual corporate logo and branding.

Hotels can return their empty perfume capsules for free to Duftwasser where they are recycled and reused.

A night out in Paris can often lead to a fashionable stop at Le Bar at Hôtel Plaza Athénée.

This summer, bar patrons will see innovations at Le Bar including a Sound Tree music installation, Blue and Red Hours’ DJ sets, an interactive bar menu and a food concept on Terrace Montaigne – La Terrazzina.

The Sound Tree, in Hôtel Plaza Athénée red, is a sculpture by designers Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman from Elipson. This innovative sculpture plays music from built-in speakers which are in the shape of round fruits.

During Blue Hours’ DJ sets in Le Bar, guests can enjoy the “ultimate cocktail experience” in a Parisian atmosphere every night from 6 pm to 11 pm.

While Red Hours’ DJ sets happen on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 11 pm to 2 am. The Le Bar lights turn from blue to the hotel’s signature red and there’s an appearance by a new identity with the electronic rock Red Hours DJ sets.

During the Red Hours guests can order from the cocktail list on an Interactive Bar Menu. The electronic tablet menu also features a digital slot machine which gives guests a chance to win a complimentary cocktail or Le Bar canapé.

This summer, Hôtel Plaza Athénée is also featuring the food concept La Terrazzina evening on Terrace Montaigne. Each evening at 8.30 pm, guests can enjoy a taste of Italy. The hotel’s Chef Philippe Marc has created a limited edition menu which includes a choice of antipasti or prosciutto, a pizzetta followed by panna cotta alla Siciliana or tiramisu.

The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London will offer its own brand of fun + style during this summer’s London 2012 Olympic Games.

With its Hyde Park Rickshaw Experience, the hotel is offering bespoke rickshaw rides and luxury Hyde Park picnics. From July 27 until August 12, 2012, the hotel’s red luxury rickshaw will transport hotel guests to Knightsbridge boutiques and the surrounding Hyde Park.

During the London Games, Hyde Park will be the location for sporting events including the Marathon Swimming in the Serpentine Lake. With the hotel’s location, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park will also offer luxury picnics for guests and the option of a personal butler.
